How to Prepare Your Air Shipments for Chinese New Year
In February, China and many other Asian countries will celebrate the start of the lunar Year of the Wood Dragon.
The official holiday period begins on 9 February and continues until 17 February, but many factories are expected to close earlier and in some cases for longer.
How could this affect your air-freight supply chain?
As every year, airline capacity is expected to decrease as the holiday approaches, which may lead to higher rates and delays for air shipments from Asia.
For this reason, early to mid-January is the most favourable time to organise shipments and take advantage of rates and service levels before the peak disruption begins.
At Unimasters, we are available to support you with professional expertise and the organisation of your shipments.
What else can we offer?
- Domestic delivery of shipments through our own local distribution service
- Customs representation
- Cargo insurance
